Herbert John Rudy, 61, of Avon, passed away October 27, 2016. He was born May 22, 1955, to Franklin and Mona Rudy, in Lewistown, Pennsylvania.  He graduated from Lewistown High School and went on to join the United States Army. He later joined the Indiana National Guard. He served overseas during Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

Herbert was a member of the Avon America Legion, Disabled American Veterans, and the Indianapolis VFW. He Loved video and computer games. Game Stop was his favorite place to visit.  He had an amazing sense of humor and never knew a stranger.

Herbert was Preceded in death by his parents, Franklin Seymour Rudy and Mona Elmira Rudy; and his sister, Deborah Goss.

He is survived by his Wife, Lynn Anne Rudy; sons, Christopher John Rudy, John Nathaniel Rudy, Daniel Jacob Rudy, and Adam Matthew Rudy; granddaughter, Gabrielle Jean Rudy; and ex-wife, Donna Haworth.
